Mostafizur Rahman Manik’s ‘Shopne Dekha Rajkonna’, cleared by the censor board back in 2021, is finally set for release this Durga Puja after a four-year delay. The film, starring new-generation actors Adar Azad and Nishat Nawar Salwa, will hit cinemas on September 26.
Unveiling the poster on social media, Manik confirmed the Producers Association has approved the release. He said, “When I got censor clearance in 2021, the country was facing the Covid outbreak. For various reasons, I couldn’t release the film until now.”
Lead actor Adar Azad said, “This is a strong story-driven film. I previously worked with Manik bhai and received great appreciation. I hope the audience will respond well again.” Co-star Nishat Nawar Salwa added, “Both the director and my hero supported me a lot. I believe viewers will love this film.”
A blend of romance and fantasy, Shopne Dekha Rajkonna tells the story of shattered dreams where fantasy and reality collide, with the chemistry of Adar and Salwa as its main draw.
Curiously, despite the release date being announced, neither of the leads has promoted the film on social media. Their silence has raised questions, though promotional activity is expected to pick up soon.
Written by Sudipto Saeed Khan, the film is produced under the MS Movies banner and also features Aliraj, Maruf Aqib, Rebecca and Chikon Ali.
