On the occasion of the Eid-ul-Adha, television channels in Bangladesh continue to rely on superstar Shakib Khan as their biggest draw. This Friday, the second day of ths Eid, ten of his films are being broadcast across multiple channels, ranging from recent blockbusters to older fan favourites.
Among the highlights is Toofan (2024), Raihan Rafi’s gangster epic that broke box‑office records and became one of the highest‑grossing Bangladeshi films of all time.
Also airing is Rajkumar (2024), Himel Ashraf’s romance drama starring Khan opposite American actress Courtney Coffey, and Taandob (2025), a political action thriller centred on a TV station attack.
Older hits are also on the schedule, including Shikari (2016), the Bangladesh‑India joint venture action thriller where Khan played a disguised assassin, and Bhalobaslei Ghor Bandha Jay Na (2010), the film that earned him his first National Film Award.
