Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming action thriller ‘King’ has secured an international distribution partner, with Phars Film set to bring the film to cinemas outside India on 24 December 2026.
The overseas release will coincide with its Indian theatrical opening, marking a day-and-date global launch for the Siddharth Anand directorial, Deadline reports.
In India, Pen Marudhar holds the film’s distribution rights. Red Chillies Entertainment has produced the project in association with Marflix Pictures.
Phars Film chairman Ahmad Golchin described the agreement as a major achievement for the company, saying it was proud to bring a film featuring Khan to international audiences.
He also praised the actor’s global popularity and said the distributor looked forward to making the release a memorable theatrical experience.
Venky Mysore, chief executive of Red Chillies Entertainment, welcomed the partnership, highlighting Phars Film’s international reach and market expertise. He said the company’s involvement would strengthen the film’s prospects across overseas territories.
‘King’ marks Khan’s reunion with Anand after their 2023 blockbuster ‘Pathaan’. The upcoming film has generated considerable anticipation, with its scale, action sequences and star-studded cast drawing attention ahead of release.
The cast includes Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Suhana Khan, Rani Mukerji, Jackie Shroff, Anil Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Raghav Juyal, Jaideep Ahlawat and Abhay Verma.
The film also marks the first on-screen collaboration between Shah Rukh and his daughter Suhana Khan.
With Phars Film handling international distribution and Pen Marudhar overseeing the Indian market, ‘King’ is preparing for a simultaneous theatrical release across territories on Christmas Eve.
