Moushumi has returned to film directing after a gap of ten years with her new feature ‘Bichchhed Bedona’, which has recently received a no-objection certificate from the Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC).
The psychological drama was produced during the Covid-19 period and stars Moushumi alongside Ferdous Ahmed and Abdun Noor Sajal. The film was produced under the Priyojon Chitro banner by senior journalist Abdur Rahman, who is now preparing it for release.
Moushumi is currently in the United States. Speaking about the project, her husband, actor Omar Sani, said, “The work on the film began several years ago. Seeing producer Abdur Rahman’s name reminded me of the project. After speaking with Moushumi, I learned that most of the filming had already been completed at the time. The remaining work was later finished and the film was submitted to the censor board. It is a distinctive film directed by Moushumi.”
Moushumi’s previous directorial venture, ‘Shunyo Hridoy’, was released in 2016. ‘Bichchhed Bedona’ marks her return to filmmaking as a director after a decade.
Alongside acting and directing, Moushumi has also been involved in film production. She first entered film production with ‘Goriber Rani’, released in 1996. Most recently, she produced a film titled ‘Abar Ami Etim Hote Chai’.
Further details regarding the release date of ‘Bichchhed Bedona’ have not yet been announced.
