Eastern Bank PLC (EBL) organised the closing and certificate awarding ceremony for participants of the month-long Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Program at its head office in Dhaka on 17 February 2026.
The programme, financed by the Asian Development Bank and implemented by the Finance Division of the Ministry of Finance and Bangladesh Bank, is designed to promote entrepreneurship development and strengthen industry competitiveness in Bangladesh, according to a press release.
A total of 25 entrepreneurs completed the course, receiving practical training on business development, innovation and competitiveness.
Eastern Bank PLC Deputy Managing Director M Khorshed Anowar attended the ceremony. Bangladesh Bank Program Director and Director Current Charge SMESPD Md Nazrul Islam and Bangladesh Bank Deputy Program Director Programs and Joint Director Mohammad Wasim were also present.
The participating entrepreneurs joined the officials at the event marking the conclusion of the training initiative.
