The government on Thursday appointed new Managing Directors (MDs) to Bangladesh House Building Finance Corporation (BHBFC) and Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank (RAKUB), promoting two deputy managing directors from the banking sector to the top posts.
Meher Sultana, Deputy MD of Karmasangsthan Bank, has been promoted and appointed the MD of BHBFC, said a press release.
Kazi Abdur Rahman, deputy managing director of Janata Bank, has been promoted and appointed managing director of RAKUB.
The Financial Institutions Division of the Ministry of Finance announced the appointments in separate notifications issued on Thursday.
Both newly appointed managing directors will receive a fixed basic salary of Tk78,000 under the National Pay Scale 2015, according to the press release.
Their terms of service will be governed by the government’s 2026 policy on appointment of managing directors of state-owned commercial banks, specialised banks and financial institutions.
