Robi Bowler Hunt, an initiative to discover and nurture promising bowling talents in Bangladesh, concluded with a grand finale and prize-giving ceremony at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka on Monday.

The initiative drew over 25,000 registrations and completed trials across 9 venues nationwide, ultimately discovering 143 promising bowling talents. Among them are 57 pacers and 86 spinners, comprising 108 male and 35 female bowlers, said a press release on Tuesday.

The selected participants attended the national trial round in Dhaka on 1 November, featuring a day-long training session followed by performance-based trials. Based on their performance, 42 bowlers advanced to the final round on 2 November. Coaches evaluated their abilities during the concluding trials to determine the winners, with 21 participants crowned as winners and two others receiving special recognition.

Robi Bowler Hunt was launched on 15 September 2026, with nationwide trials beginning in Sylhet on 27 September. The trials were held across eight venues covering Sylhet, Khulna, Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Chattogram and two locations in Dhaka, with the Khulna venue also serving participants from Barishal.

Over the years, Robi has partnered with the BCB to organise fast-bowling and spin-bowling hunts, helping discover promising talents such as Ebadot Hossain and Rishad Hossain. The prize-giving ceremony was attended by BCB CEO Nizam Uddin Chowdhury, Shahed Alam, Chief Corporate and Regulatory Officer of Robi, and other senior officials from both organisations.
