Apu Biswas is gearing up for a festive comeback as her upcoming thriller ‘Durbar’ heads for an Eid al-Fitr theatrical release. Director Kamrul Hassan Fuad confirmed the Eid launch on social media, placing the film among the most anticipated holiday releases. The announcement has already generated buzz, marking Apu Biswas’s return to the big screen after a brief pause from major cinema projects.
The makers began shooting Durbar in December last year, and the first-look poster has set the film’s dark tone. The poster shows Apu Biswas with blood smeared across her face, wearing a faint yet unsettling smile and striking a dance-like pose. The striking visual signals a suspense-driven story that moves away from her familiar screen image.
In Durbar, Apu Biswas stars opposite Abdun Noor Shajal. The ensemble cast also includes Jannatul Noor and Sanju John. Abdullah Zahir Babu has written the screenplay.
