Standard Chartered Bangladesh has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) to introduce an exclusive Priority Banking proposition for eligible chartered accountants, offering customised financial and lifestyle benefits.
The agreement was signed in Dhaka on Sunday by Standard Chartered Bangladesh Chief Executive Officer Enamul Huque and ICAB President Sabbir Ahmed FCA, with senior representatives from both organisations present at the ceremony, Standard Chartered said in a press release.
The partnership aims to recognise the contribution of chartered accountants in promoting good governance, transparency and sustainable economic growth by providing them with preferential banking and financing solutions.
Under the arrangement, eligible ICAB members will receive benefits including savings on ICAB membership and practitioner fees, cashback and fee waivers on selected products, lifestyle and travel privileges and complimentary supplementary debit cards, subject to applicable terms and conditions.
Eligible members will also gain access to Standard Chartered’s broader Priority Banking services, including dedicated relationship manager support, bancassurance solutions and Islamic banking services through Standard Chartered Saadiq.
Enamul Huque said chartered accountants play an important role in ensuring good governance, transparency and safeguarding business and policy frameworks in Bangladesh and globally.
“Our partnership with ICAB recognises this important contribution. Through this proposition, we aim to offer them convenience, meaningful value and a tailored banking experience in managing their personal finances,” he said.
Sabbir Ahmed FCA said providing value to members remained a key priority for ICAB and the partnership would help address both professional and personal financial needs of chartered accountants.
He said the banking and financing benefits would allow members to manage their financial priorities with greater flexibility.
