Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) President Kamran T Rahman received Pakistan High Commissioner Imran Haider at the MCCI head office on Monday to discuss strengthening business ties between Bangladesh and Pakistan.
The two sides discussed developing institutional links between MCCI and regional chambers of commerce and industry in Pakistan, organising business-to-business meetings, reciprocal participation in exhibitions and expanding bilateral trade in pharmaceuticals, fresh fruits and vegetables, jute, surgical goods and ceramics, according to a press release.
MCCI leadership appreciated Pakistan’s growth in the information and communication technology sector and explored possible collaboration in the field, the press release said.
Haider invited the MCCI president and its members to attend Pakistan’s premier food and agricultural exhibition, FoodAg 2026, scheduled to be held from 23 to 26 November in Karachi.
