Janata Bank PLC has directed officials to accelerate collection of low-interest deposits, increase the use of auto debit, expand Bangla QR Code usage and boost financing in the CMSME sector.
The bank also ordered stronger classified loan recovery to maintain financial balance and stressed strict measures to reduce loan risk and recover written-off loans.
The directives were issued at a meeting of the bank’s Asset-Liability Management Committee (ALCO) held at Janata Bank PLC’s head office on Monday, said a press release.
Janata Bank MD Md Mojibur Rahman chaired the meeting and called for specific strategies based on current conditions. Janata Bank PLC Deputy MDs Md Foyez Alam and Md Nurul Huda attended, along with general managers and relevant deputy general managers.
The meeting stressed rapid implementation of all necessary measures to ensure the bank’s overall progress.
