NRB Bank PLC has approved a plan to raise Tk300 crore through a subordinated bond to strengthen its Tier-II capital base under regulatory requirements.
The bank’s board approved the issuance of the “NRB Bank 1st Subordinated Bond” at its 229th meeting held on 28 September 2026, subject to approval from the relevant regulatory authorities.
The proposed bond will be unsecured, non-convertible, fully redeemable, coupon-bearing and floating-rate, with a tenure of seven years.
The bond will be issued through private placement.
NRB Bank shares, with a face value of Tk10 each, closed 1.54 per cent higher at Tk6.60 on the Dhaka Stock Exchange on Tuesday.
