Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism M Rashiduzzaman Millat conducted a surprise inspection at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 10:30pm today.
During the inspection, the Minister toured the luggage belt area and spoke directly with passengers waiting to collect their baggage.
He enquired about the time taken to receive luggage after disembarking from the aircraft, as well as their overall experience regarding the baggage delivery operations.
In their discussion with the Minister, passengers expressed satisfaction with the airport’s baggage delivery management and confirmed receiving their luggage within the scheduled timeframe.
Emphasising the necessity to further elevate the quality of passenger service, the Minister directed authorities to give the highest priority to passenger comfort and satisfaction across all airport operations.
He also issued explicit instructions to swiftly increase the number of luggage trolleys.
Concerned airport officials and officers on duty were present during the visit.
