Shakib Khan is currently busy with work on his Eid-ul-Fitr release ‘Prince: Once Upon a Time in Dhaka’. Meanwhile, fresh updates have emerged regarding his Eid-ul-Azha project, ‘Rockstar’, directed by Azman Russo.
Earlier reports suggested that the film would feature two heroines, with Tangia Zaman Methila confirmed for one of the roles and speculation swirling around the casting of a Pakistani actress for the other. However, sources close to the production now say that no Pakistani actress will be involved in the project.
According to the source, Shakib Khan is keen to work with a Bangladeshi actress and Sabila Nur is expected to be finalised for the role. If all goes according to plan, the agreement will be signed soon, marking Sabila’s second on-screen pairing with Shakib after ‘Taandob’.
The film is said to explore the rise and fall of a rockstar’s life, with a strong romantic track woven into the narrative. While Rockstar is being used as the working title, the final name of the film has yet to be confirmed.
The project will be produced under the banner of Sun Music and Motion Pictures Limited.
