Actor Dev has faced mixed reactions on social media over his interactions with co-stars Subhashree Ganguly and Idhika Paul during a promotional event for their upcoming film ‘Desu 7’ in Tripura.
Videos from the event show Dev standing between the two actresses. At one point, he takes a tissue from Subhashree and wipes her forehead before doing the same for Idhika.
While some viewers found the gestures caring, others described them as exaggerated and called them a publicity stunt.
Reactions intensified after Dev knelt on stage and kissed Subhashree’s hand, prompting further comments about their past relationship and Dev’s current relationship with Rukmini Maitra.
Dev is producing and making his directorial debut with ‘Desu 7’. The action-romantic film is scheduled to hit cinemas on 16 October.
Dev and Subhashree first worked together in ‘Challenge’ in 2009 and later reunited in ‘Dhumketu’, released in 2025 after a long delay.
