Actress Mou Khan is set to appear in two films this month, showcasing contrasting roles. She appeared earlier in October in Abar Hothat Brishti, a new version of the popular 1990s film Hothat Brishti, in a significant special appearance. Her next release, Sneher Bandhan, directed by Kamruzzaman, will hit cinemas on 16 October for Sharadiya Durga Puja.
“An actor’s greatest achievement is to break away from one’s familiar image and present different selves to audiences through varied characters,” Mou said.
Describing her role in Abar Hothat Brishti, she said it has limited screen time but plays an important part in turning the story around. She called being part of the classic’s timeless atmosphere a special feeling.
She described Sneher Bandhan as one of her most emotionally significant projects, playing a struggling yet tender woman who will face anything for family and love.
Her upcoming projects include Mehedi Hasan’s thriller-action web film Shikari, awaiting release, and Zafar Al Mamun’s Child of the Station, now in production.
