Singer Haimanti Rakhshit Das is receiving a warm response for her latest song, ‘Pakhire’, continuing her run of original releases.
Written by Priyo Chattopadhyay and composed and arranged by Akash, the song features vocals by both Haimanti and Akash. Its music video stars Alankar Chowdhury and has attracted several hundred thousand views on Haimanti’s YouTube channel, according to those involved with the release.
Haimanti said she hoped listeners would enjoy the song but did not expect such an immediate response.
She also credited her husband, Asim, for consistently encouraging her musical journey, saying his support had helped her reach this point in her career.
Veteran music director and filmmaker Chashi Nazrul Islam had once predicted that Bangladeshi music lovers would be captivated by Haimanti’s voice. More than 15 years later, her growing catalogue of songs reflects that early encouragement.
Meanwhile, Haimanti is preparing to perform at several Durga Puja venues in Dhaka.
