Actor Radhikka Madan has opened up about her experience with body-shaming, revealing how criticism of her appearance affected her health and self-image.

Speaking to Hindustan Times, Radhikka recalled gaining 15kg for her film Pataakha and gradually losing the weight while working on Shiddat and Angrezi Medium.

“I was told that I was ‘too fat. Heroine kaise banegi ye’,” she said, recalling how the comments pushed her to keep losing weight until she became “thin to the bones”.

She emphasised the importance of self-acceptance, saying that finding confidence in one’s individuality is a gradual journey.
