The results of the primary scholarship examination will be officially published on Sunday.
The Ministry of Education announced on Saturday that the results will be unveiled at a press conference at the International Mother Language Institute in Dhaka on Sunday.
Primary and Mass Education and Education Adviser ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon will attend the event.
A total of 82,500 students will receive scholarships this year.
Of them, 80 per cent are from government primary schools, while the remaining 20 per cent are from non-government primary schools and kindergartens.
The scholarships will be awarded under two categories-Talent Pool and General Grade-with recipients receiving financial benefits under the respective schemes.
The examination was held from 15 to 18 April across the country, except in the three hill districts of Rangamati, Khagrachhari and Bandarban, where it took place from 17 to 20 April under a separate schedule.
More than 640,000 students appeared in the examination, including about 550,000 from government primary schools and around 90,000 from non-government primary schools and kindergartens.
The results were originally scheduled to be published on Thursday.
However, the announcement was postponed after the results of nine districts under Dhaka Division were inadvertently uploaded to the official web portal before formal approval.
According to the ministry, the results had been finalised on 8 July, and Md Mehtab Kayes, an assistant maintenance officer at the Directorate of Primary Education, was assigned to create the necessary web links for uploading them.
Despite instructions not to publish the results before official authorisation, the results for the nine districts became accessible online at around 10am on 9 July.
The links were subsequently accessed by users, and the results were widely shared on social media, sparking criticism over the apparent breach.
In response, the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education temporarily suspended Md Mehtab Kayes on charges of misconduct under the Government Servants (Discipline and Appeal) Rules.
The Directorate of Primary Education has also formed an investigation committee to determine how the premature publication occurred.
