BNP standing committee member Dr AZM Zahid Hossain said on Friday that the physical condition of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia is now stable.
“Madam’s (Khaleda Zia) overall condition is stable now. Her condition has improved compared to when she was admitted to the hospital,” he said.
Zahid provided the information while talking to journalists after placing a floral wreath at the grave of BNP founder Ziaur Rahman at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar in the capital.
He also said Khaleda Zia will return home after other necessary medical tests and following her medical board’s decision. The BNP chairperson was admitted to Evercare Hospital on Wednesday night for her routine health check-ups.
Khaleda Zia has long been suffering from various health complications, including arthritis, diabetes, kidney, lung, and eye diseases.
