Two more people died from dengue while 1,232 patients were admitted to hospitals across the country in the 24 hours to Saturday morning, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Of the new patients, 177 were admitted in Barishal division, 194 in Chattogram division, 85 in Dhaka division, 175 in Dhaka South City Corporation areas and 154 in Dhaka North City Corporation areas.
Another 258 patients were hospitalised in Khulna division, 54 in Mymensingh division, 82 in Rajshahi division, 47 in Rangpur division and six in Sylhet division, the DGHS said, reports BSS.
The latest deaths took the dengue toll this year to 178, while the total number of hospitalised cases rose to 60,379.
Dengue claimed 413 lives and caused 102,861 hospitalisations in 2025.
In 2024, the mosquito-borne disease killed 575 people and led to 101,214 hospitalisations across the country.
