Huawei has conducted campus recruitment programmes at the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) and Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET), aimed at hiring fresh engineering graduates for roles within the company, according to a press release.
The recruitment events were held in Dhaka and Chattogram on 30 June 2026, with around 400 students from multiple departments participating in written examinations and interviews, the company said in a press release. Successful candidates will be offered positions at Huawei.
Huawei said the initiatives are designed to provide early career opportunities for graduates and strengthen its local talent pipeline in Bangladesh’s ICT sector.
At BUET, the event was attended by Delivery and Service (D&S) Vice President Cieren, while at CUET, HR Deputy Director Md Fara Newas participated in the programme. Huawei representatives included Kaushik Ahmed Reza, Senior Marketing Manager, and Iftekhar Rahman, HR Manager, who were present at both institutions.
Huawei South Asia Managing Director Maben said the company continues to offer job opportunities for local talent, with fresh graduates forming a significant portion of its workforce. He said the campus recruitment programmes are intended to help graduates apply their knowledge in a global working environment and build industry-relevant skills, adding that selected candidates would contribute to the advancement of Bangladesh’s ICT sector.
BUET Professor A B M Alim Al Islam said Huawei’s engagement with academia helps bridge the gap between academic learning and industry needs, providing students with exposure to real-world challenges and emerging technologies.
CUET Professor Mehedi Hasan Choudhury said the programme gave students valuable access to a leading global technology company and encouraged them to strengthen their technical skills and industry readiness.
Huawei said the majority of its workforce in Bangladesh is locally recruited, with employees contributing not only to its operations in the country but also to regional and global activities.
