Huawei CONNECT 2026, held in Shanghai from 17 to 19 September, brought together global industry leaders, customers, partners and technology experts to discuss the role of artificial intelligence, digital connectivity and collaboration in building an intelligent and inclusive future.
The annual flagship event, held under the theme “Advancing the Agentic World”, showcased Huawei’s vision of using artificial intelligence to support people, organisations and industries by improving decision-making, productivity and innovation, the company said in a press release.
Huawei highlighted the importance of open collaboration among governments, enterprises, partners, developers and academia to ensure AI development remains accessible, responsible and sustainable.
During his keynote address, David Wang, Deputy Chairman of the Board and Rotating Chairman of Huawei, announced a range of new AI infrastructure solutions aimed at supporting the adoption of intelligent technologies across industries.
The announcements included the Atlas 960E SuperPoD, Huawei’s new-generation AI computing solution; the upgraded TaiShan 950 SuperPoD, designed to enhance computing capacity for intelligent applications; and the OceanStor M900, a data-storage solution developed to support AI-driven workloads.
Huawei said the solutions are designed to help organisations strengthen digital foundations, manage growing data requirements and adopt AI more effectively.
The company also introduced its latest approach to connecting large-scale intelligent systems, reflecting its broader focus on making computing power and intelligence more available to industries, organisations and communities.
Huawei said the developments support customers in moving from AI experimentation towards practical applications across sectors including telecommunications, finance, manufacturing, energy, transportation, public services and education.
“ The world is entering a profound new era of transformation driven by AI,” Wang said, adding that reliable digital foundations, open technology ecosystems and industry-wide collaboration would be essential to realise the potential of intelligent technologies.
Huawei CONNECT 2026 also featured discussions on digital skills, innovation ecosystems and the role of next-generation connectivity in expanding access to intelligent technologies.
Huawei said it remains committed to working with customers and partners worldwide to advance digital transformation and build a fully connected, intelligent future.
