Trust Bank PLC has started operations of its Kafrul Branch as a full-fledged Islamic Banking Branch, renamed Kafrul Islamic Banking Branch, to expand access to Shariah-compliant banking services for customers.
The branch was inaugurated recently at a ceremony in Kafrul by General Waqar-Uz-Zaman, SBP, OSP, SGP, psc, Chairman of Trust Bank PLC and Chief of Army Staff, Bangladesh Army, who attended the event as the chief guest.
The ceremony was attended by Major General Mohd Hossain Al Morshed, ndc, afwc, psc, Vice Chairman of Trust Bank PLC and Adjutant General, Bangladesh Army, along with Ahsan Zaman Chowdhury, Managing Director & CEO of Trust Bank PLC, members of the Board of Directors, senior management officials of the bank and other distinguished guests.
Trust Bank said in a press release that the full-fledged Islamic Banking Branch will provide customers with Shariah-compliant deposit and investment products alongside modern banking services.
The bank’s Islamic Banking operations are conducted in line with Shariah principles and applicable Bangladesh Bank guidelines, it said.
The conversion of the Kafrul Branch into a full-fledged Islamic Banking Branch marks another step in Trust Bank’s efforts to expand its Islamic Banking footprint and provide accessible, customer-focused and Shariah-compliant financial solutions.
Through the new branch, Trust Bank aims to strengthen the availability of Islamic Banking services for customers in Kafrul and surrounding areas while continuing its focus on financial inclusion and modern banking services.
Trust Bank PLC currently provides Islamic Banking services through full-fledged Islamic Banking branches and Islamic Banking windows across its network.
