New officers-in-charge (OCs) have been appointed to Gulshan and Banani police stations under Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).
According to an office order signed by DMP Commissioner Mosleh Uddin Ahmed on Wednesday, Abu Zayed Md Najmun Noor, who was recently transferred to DMP, has been assigned as the officer-in-charge of Gulshan Police Station.
In the same order, Md Salahuddin has been posted as the officer-in-charge of Banani Police Station.
Additionally, the outgoing officer-in-charge of Banani Police Station, Md Faridul Islam, has been transferred to Detective Branch (DB).
These administrative changes follow the action taken against Md Daud Hossain, the former officer-in-charge of Gulshan Model Police Station, who was closed on 16 September after a procession was held in the capital’s Gulshan area by activity-banned Awami League.
