Walton director gets 1,753 shares as gift from mother

Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC Director Shadman Sakib Dipro has received 1,753 shares of the company as a gift from his mother, Zakia Sultana, through an off-market transfer outside the trading system of the stock exchange.

Zakia Sultana, a general shareholder of Walton Hi-Tech, transferred the shares to Dipro, according to a disclosure disseminated by the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on 15 September 2026.

The company confirmed the share transfer in a disclosure to the DSE on Sunday.

The transfer was made through a gift transaction, which allows shares to be transferred outside regular exchange trading channels in accordance with applicable regulations.

The largest electronics maker of the country posted an earnings per share of Tk33.75 for the financial year ended in June, up from Tk31.11 in the previous year.

At the end of June, its net asset value per share stood at Tk381.26.

Walton Hi-Tech shares, with a face value of Tk10 each, closed unchanged at Tk394.60 on the DSE on Thursday.

Its share trading was suspended on the bourses on Sunday due to the record date for identifying shareholders who will be entitled to dividends and annual general meeting participation.

The company announced a 180 per cent, or Tk18, cash dividend per share alongside a 10 per cent stock dividend, which means it will issue 1 share against every 10 existing shares.
