Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC has promoted Abu Sayed Md Idris and Md Zakir Hossain to Deputy Managing Director (DMD) positions, the bank said in a press release on Wednesday.
Both officials were previously serving as Senior Executive Vice Presidents of the bank.
Abu Sayed Md Idris is currently heading the SME Investment Wing at the bank’s head office. He joined Islami Bank in 1992 as a probationary officer and has served as head of the Retail Investment Management Wing, Rangpur, Mymensingh and Dhaka South Zones, along with various departments and branches.
He holds a master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Dhaka.
Md Zakir Hossain is currently heading the bank’s Local Office Corporate Branch. He joined the bank in 1996 as a probationary officer and has served as head of the Special Investment Division and Sylhet Zone, along with different departments and branches.
He holds honours and master’s degrees in Accounting from Islamic University, Kushtia.
