The Coast Guard has arrested three people with firearms and ammunition in Tazumuddin upazila of Bhola.
The arrests were made during a raid in the Char Mozammel Muktijoddha Bazar area on Sunday night.
Coast Guard media officer Lieutenant Commander Sabbir Alam Sujon confirmed the matter in a statement issued on Monday morning.
The detainees were identified as Abbas Majhi, 46, Md Alamgir, 43, and Md Alamgir Hossain, 41. All three are residents of Tazumuddin, and the Coast Guard said they have multiple cases filed against them.
According to the statement, a team from Coast Guard Base Bhola searched three suspected houses in Char Mozammel area.
During the operation, the team recovered two locally made firearms, including a pipe gun, three rocket flares, 15 rounds of pistol ammunition, two live cartridges, one rifle bullet and four locally made weapons.
The Coast Guard said legal action, including filing a case with the relevant police station, is being taken against the detainees along with the seized items.
