Trust Bank PLC inaugurated its new Pekua Branch in Pekua, Cox’s Bazar on 17 September 2026, expanding its banking network and strengthening its presence in the region.
Ahsan Zaman Chowdhury, Managing Director and CEO of Trust Bank PLC, formally inaugurated the branch as the chief guest at a ceremony held at the Kafrul Islamic Banking Branch in Kafrul, Dhaka, the bank said in a press release.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Md Kamal Hossain Sarker, DMD and Head of Islamic Banking Division; Md Mahboob Hossain, SEVP and Head of Business Division; Brig Gen Md Mamun or Rashid, BSP, ndc, psc (Retd), SEVP and Head of GSSD, along with branch managers and other senior officials of Trust Bank PLC.
Senior officials from the Bangladesh Navy, prominent local businesspeople, dignitaries, valued customers and invited guests were also present at the event.
The newly inaugurated branch will provide modern banking products and services to individuals, businesses, entrepreneurs and other customers in Pekua and surrounding areas.
The branch is expected to improve access to formal banking services, support local businesses and entrepreneurs and contribute to economic activities and financial inclusion in the region.
With the opening of the Pekua Branch, Trust Bank PLC said it continues its commitment to expanding accessible, customer-focused and technology-enabled banking services across Bangladesh.
