Malaysia-based UCSI Hospital, an institution of UCSI Group, has officially launched its Medical Referral Centre in Bangladesh.
Professor Datuk Siti Hamisah binti Tapsir, vice-chancellor and president of UCSI University, inaugurated the referral centre located at the UCSI University Bangladesh Campus in Banani, Dhaka.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Ariful Bari Mozumder, chairman of Insight Institute of Learning (IIL) and senior vice president of UCSI University Bangladesh Campus; Professor Kushairi, pro-vice-chancellor; Professor HM Zahir, vice president (academic); Major Suman Subhan (retd), provost; and Muhammad Khaled, director and secretary of IIL.
Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the guests toured the newly established facility. In addition to providing emergency medical support to students, faculty, and staff of the Bangladesh campus, the referral centre will offer medical advice and administrative coordination to assist Bangladeshi patients in accessing affordable healthcare services in Malaysia.
UCSI Hospital is Malaysia’s only private hospital with a public service wing, expanding access to quality healthcare. The 130-bed facility actively contributes to the advancement of healthcare and medical science through collaborations with some of the world’s leading universities.
