Authorities have announced entry and parking arrangements for invited guests attending the first session of the 13th National Parliament at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban on Thursday.
According to a BSS report, guests may enter the parliament complex through three gates — Manipuri Para Gate (Gate No. 6), Bakultala Gate (Gate No. 12) and Asad Gate (Gate No. 1).
However, officials have advised guests to use Bakultala Gate and Asad Gate, as heavier traffic is expected at Manipuri Para Gate.
Guests must park their vehicles according to the car stickers provided with their invitations. The stickers include Padma, Meghna, Jamuna, Shapla, Bakul, Shiuli and Shimul.
Vehicles carrying Padma, Meghna, Jamuna and Shapla stickers may park at designated locations inside the parliament complex.
Vehicles with Bakul, Shimul and Shiuli stickers must park at the old trade fair ground near the parliament area.
Electronic and print media vehicles must park in a single line along the main road of Manik Mia Avenue.
Guests must get down from their vehicles at Tunnel Road and walk to the parliament building. Authorities have urged guests to disembark quickly to prevent congestion.
Drivers or accompanying persons should remain inside their vehicles.
Officials have also requested all invited guests and concerned individuals to follow the instructions of the Traffic Division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police at entry gates and designated parking areas.
