Biman Bangladesh Airlines will restart its Dhaka–Sylhet–Manchester flights from 1 July after completing this year’s Hajj operations.
According to a press release, Biman took the decision in response to passenger demand and government instructions, according to a press release issued by Biman today.
The airline said it would reopen the route, which had remained suspended for some time, to ease travel for passengers, particularly members of the Bangladeshi diaspora living in the United Kingdom.
Biman made the decision in line with directives from the minister and state minister for civil aviation and tourism, the statement added.
The airline will announce the detailed flight schedule and other operational arrangements later.
The move will strengthen air connectivity between Bangladesh and the United Kingdom, one of the major destinations for Bangladeshi expatriates.
