A fire broke out at the Kakoli foot overbridge on Airport Road in Dhaka early Monday.
One section of the foot overbridge was damaged in the blaze.
The incident occurred around 2am, said Rafi Al Faruk, duty officer of the Fire Service and Civil Defense headquarters.
He said two fire service units rushed to the spot and brought the flames under control around 2:30am.
The exact cause is yet to be determined. Officials suspect the fire may have originated from an electrical short circuit.
