Eastern University and United Healthcare have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening cooperation in healthcare services for the university’s students, faculty members, and staff. The signing ceremony was held yesterday at the United Medical College Hospital.
The agreement was signed by Professor Dr Farid A Sobhani, vice chancellor of the university, and Mohammad Faizur Rahman, CEO (Healthcare Division) of United Group, on behalf of their respective organisations.
Under this MoU, students, faculty members, officers, and staff of Eastern University will be entitled to exclusive discounts on medical treatment, diagnostic tests, and cabin services at United Healthcare.
The ceremony was attended by KM Monirul Islam, deputy director of the Office of Student Affairs and Placement, and Md. Mohiuddin Majumder, assistant director of Public Relations, representing Eastern University. Tareq Sami Rahman, head of the Customer Relations Department & Corporate Marketing at United Healthcare, was also present.
Both institutions expressed optimism that the collaboration will improve access to quality healthcare for the university community and serve as a foundation for expanded cooperation in the future.
