Police have arrested two individuals in connection with two cocktail explosions at the Kamalapur Railway Station.
According to Deputy Commissioner (DC) Harun or Rashid, the cocktails exploded in quick succession between pillars 29 and 30 on platform 2 around 10:37pm on Saturday.
Following the incident, Shahjahanpur police station personnel gathered information through sources, analysed intelligence data, and used information technology to identify those involved, subsequently conducting an operation to arrest them.
Police identified one of the arrestees as Sakhawat Hossain Raihan, former organisational secretary the banned Chhatra League’s Shahjahanpur police station unit.
The other arrestee, Md Saimun, is an active Jubo League worker in Shahjahanpur police station area, according to police.
