Six more people have died from suspected measles in the past 24 hours, taking the total death toll from the outbreak to 1,063 since 15 March, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Of the total deaths recorded until 8am on Monday, 962 were suspected measles deaths and 101 were confirmed measles deaths, the latest DGHS data showed.
The health authority reported 1,221 new suspected measles cases in the past 24 hours, raising the total number of suspected cases since 15 March to 181,035.
During the same period, 84 new confirmed measles cases were detected, taking the confirmed case count to 20,646.
A total of 1,215 suspected measles patients were admitted to hospitals in the past 24 hours, while 1,223 patients were discharged.
Since 15 March, a total of 159,804 suspected measles patients have been hospitalised, with 153,448 recovering and being discharged.
Dhaka division recorded the highest number of new suspected cases in the past 24 hours, with 429 infections and two deaths. Sylhet reported 161 cases and two deaths, while Chattogram recorded 271 cases and one death.
Barishal reported 140 cases and one death. Meanwhile, 31 suspected cases were detected in Rajshahi, 73 in Mymensingh, 90 in Khulna and 26 in Rangpur.
Meanwhile, under the 2026 National Measles-Rubella Vaccination Campaign, a total of 19,834,112 vaccine doses have been administered nationwide since 15 March.
The national target was 18,015,064 children, with vaccination coverage reaching 110.1 per cent, according to DGHS data.
In city corporation areas, the target was 1,905,950 children, while 2,008,927 children have received vaccines so far, bringing coverage to 109.2 per cent.
