Al-Arafah Islami Bank PLC held a day-long orientation training programme for newly recruited executives and officers on 27 June 2026 at its Al-Arafah Islami Bank Training Institute (AIBTI), the bank said in a press release.
The programme was inaugurated virtually by Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Mohd Rafat Ullah Khan as chief guest, while 45 newly appointed executives and officers participated in the training focused on Islamic banking, compliance and professional skills development.
Speaking at the event, Khan said it is important to develop skilled, ethical and customer-centric bankers to meet the challenges of a changing and technology-driven financial sector. He urged participants to uphold the principles of Islamic banking, maintain integrity and professionalism, and contribute to institutional growth through innovative and quality banking services.
The programme was presided over by AIBTI Principal and Senior Executive Vice President Md Abdur Rahim Duary.
The training session was also attended by Senior Assistant Vice President Md Mazharul Alam, Assistant Vice President Jasim Uddin and Principal Officer Md Shamim, along with other senior officials.
The course covered Islamic banking operations, customer relationship management, professional ethics, compliance, anti-money laundering measures, digital banking and broader professional skill development.
