Police recovered 10 cocktails from a plastic bag abandoned in Dhaka’s Jatrabari area, which members of the bomb disposal unit later defused.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) disclosed the information in a press release on Monday.
According to DMP, around 6pm on Sunday, a plastic bag was spotted near a six‑storey building in Dakkhin Donia under Jatrabari.
On suspicion, the bag was searched and 10 cocktails were found inside, police said.
The bomb disposal unit was informed, and its members reached the spot, taking necessary security measures.
At 10:25pm, the bombs were defused at Golapbagh field following standard procedure.
Police said they are working to identify those involved and bring them under the law.
