Former television star Srabosti Dutta Tinni, once a familiar face on Bangladeshi screens, is now living in Canada with her daughter Warisha after navigating many personal ups and downs. Despite being miles away, she stays connected to her fans through social media.
On Friday afternoon, Tinni shared a heartfelt photo on Facebook, showing her kissing her daughter. In the post, she opened up about her health and recent decision to seek medical advice.
“I have never seen a doctor before, thinking maybe there was nothing serious,” she wrote. “But this time, I made the appointment myself. I want to know if I am truly healthy.”
Later, she updated fans, saying, “I met the doctor today, he’s wonderful. He asked me to do some tests, which I’ve completed. Now I’m waiting for the results. I pray that everything is fine. I want to live with my daughters for a long time.”
Reflecting on life’s meaning, Tinni shared a personal thought, “Human birth is very sweet, if you end up humane. This isn’t a quote; these are my own words. My grandfather used to say, ‘People are yours; after money, collect as many people as you can.’ May human life always be joyful.”
Tinni first entered show business as the fifth runner-up in the Lux Anandadhara Photogenic Contest (2002). She later transitioned from modelling to acting, gaining fame through Mostafa Sarwar Farooki’s popular television series ‘69’.
Her notable film credits include ‘Dubshatar’, ‘Made in Bangladesh’ and ‘Se Amar Mon Kereche’.
She also made her mark in commercial cinema, particularly with Se Amar Mon Kereche opposite Shakib Khan. However, after her separation from actor Hillol in 2012 and later from her second husband, Tinni gradually withdrew from the entertainment industry.
