American actor and director Giancarlo Esposito, best known for his roles in ‘Breaking Bad’, ‘Better Call Saul’ and ‘The Boys’, has reportedly embraced Islam while filming his upcoming movie ‘7 Dogs’ in Saudi Arabia, according to reports that emerged on June 23 following the circulation of a viral video on social media.
The development came to public attention after a video allegedly shared by Saudi official Turki Alalshikh began gaining traction online. The footage is said to show Esposito reciting the Shahada, the Islamic declaration of faith, and joining fellow cast and crew members in prayer during the production of ‘7 Dogs’.
Esposito, who has earned international acclaim for his performances across television and film, is currently working on the Saudi-based project. The video quickly attracted widespread attention across social media platforms, where fans and observers discussed the reported conversion.
Neither Esposito nor the production team of ‘7 Dogs’ had publicly commented on the matter at the time of reporting.
The actor is widely recognised for portraying Gustavo Fring in ‘Breaking Bad’ and ‘Better Call Saul’, as well as Stan Edgar in ‘The Boys’. His reported embrace of Islam has added further attention to the ongoing production of ‘7 Dogs’, which is being filmed in Saudi Arabia.
