Following the success of ‘Bonolota Express’, actors Sariful Razz and Sabila Nur are set to reunite for a new feature film, with production currently in its early stages.

Released during Eid-ul-Fitr, ‘Bonolota Express’, directed by Tanim Noor and based on a story by Humayun Ahmed, emerged as one of the country’s biggest box-office successes in recent years. The film also performed strongly overseas, particularly in North America, where it reportedly achieved record earnings for a Bangladeshi production.

In the film, Razz and Sabila portrayed Dr Ashhab and Chitra, respectively, earning praise from audiences for both their performances and on-screen chemistry.

The pair are now preparing to collaborate once again in a new project directed by Zubair Ibne Bakar. While the film’s title has yet to be finalised, the screenplay is reportedly complete and a production company has already been attached to the project.

The film is being planned for release during Eid-ul-Fitr 2027. Discussions surrounding the project are ongoing, although details regarding the shooting schedule and the remainder of the cast have not yet been confirmed.

Speaking about the production, Zubair said the project remains in its early stages.

Meanwhile, Sabila Nur is expected to take a brief break before beginning new work commitments. She is scheduled to travel to the USnext month to visit family, starting with a stop in New York, where ‘Bonolota Express’ will be screened at a film festival.
