Vicky Kaushal’s first-look poster from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Love & War’ has been unveiled, following the earlier posters featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, writes Hindustam Times.
In the poster, Vicky is seen lighting a cigarette with a classic silver lighter. Smoke surrounds his face as he looks directly into the camera with an intense expression. His thick moustache, forehead scar, dark shirt and gold ring add to his rugged appearance.
The makers shared the poster with the caption, “Nazre milengi, lekin hatengi nahin!” and confirmed that the film will release on 21 January 2027.
Another poster shows Vicky standing chest-deep in dark green water while holding a bouquet of pale flowers. A grand palace-like structure can be seen behind him. Alia Bhatt shared the image with the caption, “In his SLB Era. Love & War 21.01.2027.”
The earlier first looks of Ranbir and Alia have also offered glimpses of their characters. Ranbir appears behind the wheel of a vintage car with a bruised and bloodied hand, while Alia is seen in a dramatic magenta-red outfit with an elaborate headpiece, seemingly during a dance sequence.
‘Love & War’ brings Ranbir, Alia and Vicky together as the lead trio for the first time in a Bhansali film. Ranbir is also reuniting with the filmmaker nearly two decades after his acting debut in ‘Saawariya’ (2007), while Alia previously worked with Bhansali in ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ (2022).
Ranbir and Vicky previously appeared together in ‘Sanju’ (2018), while Alia and Vicky starred in ‘Raazi’ (2018).
The film is set against a wartime backdrop and has been described as a period romantic drama. Reports suggest Ranbir and Vicky will play Indian Air Force officers whose lives become connected with Alia’s character.
Bhansali and Ila Bedi Dutta have written the film, which also features Supriya Pathak. After two changes to its release schedule, ‘Love & War’ is now set to arrive in cinemas worldwide on 21 January 2027 in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
