Tollywood actress Koushani Mukherjee has revisited her childhood Durga Puja memories, recalling family pandal-hopping, beauty contests and brief romances that lasted only through the festival.
Before entering films, Koushani would visit different Puja pandals with her family and take part in local beauty contests. She particularly remembers winning the title of “Puja’s Best Beauty”, which remains one of her fondest festival memories.
The actress also remembers the romantic side of Puja. According to Koushani, the festive days often brought short-lived relationships that ended once the celebrations were over.
“I really loved those few days of romance during Puja. Those relationships would last only for the Puja days and then end,” she said.
This year, Koushani will combine her Puja celebrations with promotions for her upcoming film ‘Bahurupi: The Golden Daku’, which is scheduled to hit theatres during the festival.
After Saptami, she plans to spend the remaining Puja days with her family and boyfriend Bonny Sengupta. Her plans include pandal-hopping, spending time together and attending parties.
