Police have recovered three bodies, including a woman’s, from different locations in Shahbagh, Dhaka, on Thursday night.
The bodies were found near the Central Shaheed Minar, the National Eidgah field, and the footpath adjacent to the Dhaka University Central Mosque.
According to Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Khalid Munsur of Shahbagh Police Station, the first body, identified as a woman around 55 years old, was found at approximately 9:30pm on the footpath next to the Dhaka University Central Mosque.
Simultaneously, an unidentified man, around 40 years old, was found near the National Eidgah field.
Around midnight, another body of a man, also estimated to be around 40 years old, was discovered on the footpath near the Central Shaheed Minar.
The police suspect that the three individuals were homeless and may have died due to illness. Efforts are currently underway to identify them.
The bodies have been sent to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
