A total of 45,200 students are set to receive junior scholarships this year, with the results expected to be published within this week.
According to sources at the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE), quotas have been allocated for both Talent Pool and General scholarships, which will be distributed on a board-wise basis.
Kamrun Nahar, assistant director (Planning and Development Wing) of the DSHE, informed the media that there is a strong possibility the results will be released on Wednesday.
Under the scholarship programme, Talent Pool recipients will receive a monthly stipend of Tk450 and an annual one-time grant of Tk560.
General scholarship awardees will be provided with Tk 300 per month and an annual grant of Tk 350. These financial benefits will be extended for the next two years. The junior scholarship examinations were conducted from 28 December to 5 January. A total of 315,160 students, who passed Class VIII in 2025, participated in the exams. The Dhaka Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education is currently processing the results.
