Actress and television presenter Mousumi Mou was injured in a road accident late Wednesday (5 August) after a pickup truck collided with her private car while she was returning home from a show.
Although the crash left her vehicle badly damaged, the actress narrowly escaped a more serious tragedy.
She sustained injuries to her chest, arms and legs.
On Thursday (6 August), Mou shared photos of the accident on her Facebook account, expressing gratitude for surviving the incident.
“Alhamdulillah! I survived a major accident yesterday,” she wrote.
According to the actress, the pickup truck rammed into her car as she was travelling home after completing a stage show. The impact threw her from one side of the vehicle to the other.
“I’ve injured my head, chest, arms and legs. But by the grace of Allah, I escaped without any major harm,” she said.
Describing how close the incident came to becoming even more devastating, Mou revealed that her makeup artist, Mumin, was riding a motorcycle directly behind her car.
“My makeup artist was on a motorcycle right behind my car. Had the timing been different by just a few seconds, the accident could have been far more tragic. And if the pickup had struck the door instead of another part of the car, I might not have survived,” she wrote.

Mou also shared a photograph of the pickup driver on Facebook, alleging that his behaviour appeared unusual and claiming that the vehicle had brake problems.
However, she said the driver’s employer maintained that the man was not supposed to be driving the vehicle that day.
The actress did not disclose the exact location of the accident, and attempts by local media to contact her for further details reportedly went unanswered.
Concluding her post, Mou wrote, “I’m alive and I’m well—that’s what matters most.”
