September 23rd marks the National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This year, the Kingdom celebrates its 96th National Day. On this auspicious occasion, the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Bangladesh hosted a programme held at the Sheraton Hotel on Tuesday.
The programme was attended by Ambassadors, High Commissioners, and Delegates of foreign missions currently stationed in Bangladesh.
The Ambassador, His Excellency Abdullah Zafer bin Abiyah, stated that Saudi Arabia continues to advance the ambitious objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness, Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
The Saudi Vision 2030 aims to transform its economy, empower its people, strengthen its international partnerships, and create new opportunities across diverse sectors.
Currently, the Kingdom has entered the final phase of Saudi Vision 2030. It focuses on consolidating the achievements of the previous years, accelerating economic diversification, strengthening investment, empowering the private sector, and enhancing sustainable development. According to the latest Vision 2030 Annual Report 2025, 93% of the Vision’s key performance indicators had been achieved, with some close to hitting their targets.
Furthermore, 90% of initiatives were either completed or progressing according to plan.
With this year’s theme being ‘Our Pride is In Our Nature,’ it embodies the values that have always characterised Saudi society: generosity, hospitality, determination, authenticity, and pride in national identity. They are important foundations as the Kingdom moves confidently toward the future.
Speaking about the bilateral relationship between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Bangladesh, His Excellency Abdullah Zafer bin Abiyah further added that the bonds are founded on mutual respect, friendship and cooperation, and continue to develop across numerous fields for the benefit of both nations and their people.
