Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is set to make her return to the Paris Fashion Week runway as L’Oreal Paris brings its annual ‘Le Defile’ event to Place Joffre near the Eiffel Tower on 28 September.
The actor, who has represented L’Oreal Paris as a global ambassador for years, will join a line-up of international celebrities for the ninth edition of the fashion and beauty showcase.
This year’s event carries the theme “Walk Your Worth”, highlighting women’s empowerment, confidence, diversity, solidarity and inclusion. Aishwarya’s appearance will place her at the centre of the campaign’s message of strength and self-confidence.
Launched in 2017, ‘Le Defile’ has brought together prominent names from the worlds of fashion, film and entertainment. This year’s participants include Simone Ashley, Viola Davis, Cara Delevingne, Jane Fonda, Kendall Jenner and Eva Longoria.
The event will also coincide with the launch of five new liquid lipstick shades from L’Oreal Paris’ ‘Runway Matte Collection’. The shades have been formulated specifically for Indian skin tones.
Aishwarya will wear ‘423 Audacious Red’, the highlight shade from the new collection, during her runway appearance.
L’Oreal Paris is also taking the Paris fashion experience to consumers through partnerships with Amazon online and Lifestyle Stores offline. The brand plans to hold a beauty workshop in Mumbai in October.
