Music production company Gaanchil Music has released a new song by Crown Engine, bringing together hip-hop and rap in an experimental musical setting.
Titled Ki Hoilo!, the song is now available on Gaanchil Music’s YouTube channel. Crown Engine wrote, composed and performed the track, using a contemporary sound to present his musical ideas.
The song incorporates the familiar line “Porer jayga, porer jomi, ghor banaya ami roi”. Gaanchil Music chief Asif Iqbal said the new track was created as a tribute to the song’s lyricist and composer Abdul Latif.
Ali Adnan Ador has provided vocals for the chorus. Critical Mahmud served as music producer, while MR Rabbi worked as the beat producer. Aryan Hasan and Tirtha Chakraborty played guitar.
Speaking about the song, Crown Engine said he wanted to combine rap rhythms and a hip-hop atmosphere with his own musical approach.
“I have tried to express my musical ideas through the rhythm of rap and the atmosphere of hip-hop in ‘Ki Hoilo!’. I hope listeners will enjoy the song in their own way,” he said.
The song was recorded at Hall of Critics Studio. Critical Mahmud handled its mixing and mastering.
