Marvel’s ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ will come to an end with its third season on Disney+, writes Variety.
The final season, starring Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock, has already completed filming and is currently in post-production. Disney+ is expected to release the season in 2027. Co-creator and showrunner Dario Scardapane has also left the series.
Cox first portrayed the blind lawyer-turned-vigilante in Netflix’s ‘Daredevil’, which ran for three seasons between 2015 and 2018. The show became the starting point for Netflix’s street-level Marvel universe, which expanded through ‘Jessica Jones’, ‘Luke Cage’, ‘Iron Fist’ and ‘The Defenders’.
Disney+ revived the character in 2025 with ‘Daredevil: Born Again’, bringing back Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk, or Kingpin, alongside Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson and Wilson Bethel as Bullseye.
The second season also expanded the connections with Marvel’s former Netflix shows, with Krysten Ritter returning as Jessica Jones and Mike Colter appearing as Luke Cage in the finale.
Set photos from the third season have also indicated the return of Finn Jones as Danny Rand, better known as Iron Fist. Ritter and Colter are also expected to appear as the heroes reunite to confront Fisk, whose position as New York City mayor has been lost.
The story will pick up after a dramatic second-season finale that left Murdock imprisoned and exposed his secret identity.
